Institute Message

The Fırat University Health Sciences Institute was established in 1982. We offer a comprehensive range of educational programs, including 38 Master's and 33 Doctoral Programs across 43 departments encompassing fields such as medicine, veterinary, dentistry, physical education and sports, nursing, nutritional sciences, and physiotherapy and rehabilitation. We are committed to delivering a high-quality education to our students at both national and international levels, utilizing the full spectrum of modern educational resources and opportunities.

Our institute, which welcomes both national and international students, takes pride in having trained 690 researchers in master's programs and 518 researchers in doctoral programs since its establishment. Currently, 558 students are enrolled in postgraduate programs at our institute.

Our institute publishes two periodical, peer-reviewed journals indexed by national and international databases. The Fırat University Journal of Health Sciences (Medicine) releases three issues annually, featuring an average of 45 articles covering general medicine. Similarly, the Fırat University Journal of Health Sciences (Veterinary) publishes three issues each year, presenting an average of 45 articles for researchers in veterinary medicine. These journals, in continuous publication since 1987, are indexed by prestigious databases such as Index Copernicus, Cab Abstracts/Global Health, EBSCOhost, ASCI, Tubitak-Ulakbim (Turkish Medical Index), Tubitak-Ulakbim (Life Sciences), National Citation Index (Ulakbim), National Citation Index (Turkish Medline Health Sciences), Turkey Citation Index, and Index Copernicus International.
